HRL presentation at ABHUG 2022 on Assessment and Repair of Cracking in a Steam Turbine Nozzle Plate
HRL will be attending the Australasian Boiler & HRSG Users Group (ABHUG) Conference and Workshops will be held on 15-17 November 2022, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Mr Bruce Ham, Principal Engineering Consultant, will be presenting his paper on the following topic on Day 3 of the conference, Thursday 17 November at 13.45 – 14.15 pm.
Steam Turbine Nozzle Plate – Assessment, Repair and Defect Tolerance. B Ham, N Nguyen, H Better and R Coade
Bruce’s presentation details the repair and assessment of cracking detected in a steam turbine 1st stage nozzle plate including – an overview of the steps taken to assess and determine the root cause, analysis of risk for decision making for run / repair / replace, and finite element and defect tolerance assessment to calculate remaining life.
HRL has booth no. 7 in the exhibition area. Please come and chat to Bruce and our other team members at the booth.
