HRL will be attending the Australasian Boiler & HRSG Users Group (ABHUG) Conference and Workshops will be held on 15-17 November 2022, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Mr Bruce Ham, Principal Engineering Consultant, will be presenting his paper on the following topic on Day 3 of the conference, Thursday 17 November at 13.45 – 14.15 pm.

Bruce’s presentation details the repair and assessment of cracking detected in a steam turbine 1st stage nozzle plate including – an overview of the steps taken to assess and determine the root cause, analysis of risk for decision making for run / repair / replace, and finite element and defect tolerance assessment to calculate remaining life.
