Specialising in material selection, welding engineering and risk based inspection regimes. Responsible for run, repair, replace decisions on major high temperature, high pressure plant.   Development of welding repair procedures for various plant.
  Signing off on plant inspections to ensure compliance with the statutory requirements.

  Role: Principal materials engineer and independent technical advisor
  Key achievements:
  Desktop-based provision of a weld repair procedure for a major failure on the main steam line.
  Management of subsequent laboratory-based failure investigation.
  Development of risk-based inspection program for all high energy pipework in the station.
