Professional Background
An analytical chemist with over 30 years’ experience with a wide range of analytical instrumentation and procedures, and research and development. Extensive experience in managing and hands on support with experimental trials and pilot plants predominately in the mining industry.
Pauline has managed the Gas Testing Services for HRL for the past three years, achieving NATA accreditation for our analyses, operating our gas chromatographs and liaising with our customers to best meet their needs.
Areas of Expertise
- Analysis of natural gas composition using gas chromatography
- Analysis of high purity hydrogen using gas chromatography and other procedures
- Determining mercaptan odourant levels using GC’s, wet chemistry and/or organoleptic test methods
- Analysis of LPG and refinery gases
- Biofuel analysis
- On site sampling, monitoring of gas levels and dosing of mercaptans.
Relevant Project Experience
- Analysing hydrogen to AS ISO 14687 standard for PEM fuel cells, supporting the commissioning of new fuel cells
- Site sampling and analysis of hydrogen trailer gas
- Supporting hydrogen startups
- Gas monitoring, dosing, and testing during commissioning and decommissioning of network pipelines
- Assessing potential contaminants in LPG
- Routine natural gas odourant surveys.
